Less than a day after Houston ended the season disappointingly, with a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals and another early relegation from the playoffs - team coach Mike D'Antoni has informed the club that he is leaving his post and will not return next season.
Dantoni's contract expires at the end of the season, he becomes free, and has already rejected the Rockets' management's proposals to extend his contract.
According to ESPN, Dantoni is one of the candidates to coach Philadelphia.

Dantoni achieved a 102: 217 record in his four seasons as Houston coach.
He qualified with her once for the Western Conference Finals and three times for the Western Semifinals.
Houston under Dantoni, who has previously won the NBA title twice this season, has recorded the highest percentage of wins in the West this season in the last four years (68.2), with only Toronto above it in the entire league (69.5), but apparently the playoff disappointments have paid off.
It should be noted, however, that in Dantoni's four seasons in Houston, only Golden State (46) Boston (33) and Toronto (31) have more playoff wins than Houston in Dantoni's four seasons (28).
