Donatas Motionas claims: Until recently, I negotiated with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The 29-year-old power forward, who signed this week in Chinese Jiangxiang, told the Lithuanian media this evening (Thursday) about the chain of events.
"I had a lot of offers in the summer. There were some offers from China and also interest from Europe. I even had talks with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiacos, but in the end the offers were low, probably because of the Corona crisis. The offers from Europe were not very good, so I took the best offer. From China ".
Motionas, who has been mentioned more than once in recent years as a candidate to join the Yellows, claims that one of the considerations he decided to sign in China is his attempt to return to the NBA.
"The season in between is short, and after that I will have the opportunity to join some NBA team. It tempts me."

Motionas, who was selected in the 20th draft in the 2011 draft, has previously played for Houston, New Orleans and San Antonio, but in recent years has starred in the Chinese league.
As you may recall, Maccabi Tel Aviv is still looking for a foreign power forward after negotiations on the extension of Quincy Acey's contract stalled.
Among other things, the Yellows have examined the possibility of signing forward Himki in recent years, Anthony Gil.
