Altenstadt - It took a long time, but now the parachutists of the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Altenstadt were able to contest their first competition this year.
The sports promotion group traveled to Strakonitz with two teams to take part in the open Czech championship in style and target jumping.
The performance of the women and men "was more than satisfactory all in all", reported Sergeant Major Christian Kautzmann.
The Altenstadter took home several medals.

Style jumping was on the program on the first day.
There the athletes have to show a set program of movements, rotations and figures.
All Altenstadters collected important World Cup norms for them - "and some of them even jumped personal bests," said Kautzmann.
Sergeant Stefan Wiesner won a silver medal in the individual ranking.

Five laps could be completed at the start.

The 19-year-old staff sergeant Leon This won the junior ranking with ease.
With a deviation of only ten centimeters, it barely missed a podium for the men.
Stefan Wiesner secured the overall victory with a sovereign five centimeter lead.
According to Kautzmann, this day was crowned with Wiesner's victory in the individual combined classification.
In the women's category, Sergeant Tatjana Gustke won the silver medal.
With the first place she was - in terms of the deviation in centimeters - tied.
According to the regulations, the number of "zeros" must decide in such a case.
Gustke had one zero less and was second.
