Organized at the flea du canal in Lyon, the charity auction of “Sport Legends”, for the benefit of the Les Etoiles Filantes association, broke all records.
In less than three hours, the hundreds of objects that adorned the catalog raised 320,000 euros in the room and on the internet.
This evening, led by the Richard auction house and presented by journalist Anne-Laure Bonnet, in the presence of the association's godfather and godmother, Martin Fourcade and Tessa Worley, brought together a crowd of enthusiasts and personalities.
"Sensitive to Arthur's fight"
“I support the Shooting Stars because I was very sensitive to the fight led by Arthur, touched by his story.
I wanted to support Arthur and all the children affected by this disease which is too brutal, too fast, to help advance research ... ”, declared Martin Fourcade alongside Sandie Tourondel, the mother of Arthur, who left to join the Stars last May at the age of five, suffered from "infiltrating brainstem glioma", a rare and incurable disease.
The evening's record: 160,000 euros for Kylian Mbappé's French team jersey bought by phone by an anonymous buyer and generously offered to Jules, Arthur's twin brother.
Surprise during the sale with the announcement of the pre-emption by the state of Kylian Mbappé's pair of crampons.
The pair of shoes will therefore be exhibited at the International Shoe Museum in Romans-sur-Isère.
"Even more energy"
Note the 7,500 euros for Rafael Nadal's racket, 5,100 euros for Martin Fourcade's yellow bib for his 80th World Cup victory at Ruhpolding and the 6,000 euros, the record amount of the purchase in the hall for the canvas made live by the artist Jaké.
"All this enthusiasm gives us even more energy to continue to help as many children as possible, to put little stars in the eyes of these superheroes and, as the association's philosophy demands, to add life to days failing to add days to life ”, concluded Sandie Tourondel, founder of the Association Les Etoiles Filantes.
