"Before we published the news, I realized it would make a noise in the sports world and make headlines on sports sites, but I did not think it would reach those dimensions," Boker admitted.
"It was crazy. I get responses like 'you pay for what you did to them' and 'God will punish you', but it's less important. I felt the girls had to be protected and their side presented, because of the threats made against them."
Boker, who maneuvered this week between the edition he presents and the coverage of the rocket attack from Gaza, is a Hapoel Beer Sheva fan.
"My dream as a fan was a blanket and nobles will come to Be'er Sheva because they are upgrading the team, and I no longer want them," he said.
"I take my hat off to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the decision to give them up, and for saying that the person is more important than the talent. I'm not sure many teams would have done that. Maccabi deserves to succeed this year, because of the step it took."
