Fujian did not remain indifferent to this post, which was later deleted and issued a statement saying: "His inappropriate words do not fit our club and have created a dangerous impact on the club and the league. We will not land him for the new season."
Lawson joined the Chinese League in 2017 when he signed with Shandong, from which he moved to Fujian, in which he averaged 27.3 points per game and added 8.8 assists.
Lawson spent most of his NBA career in Denver and in the 2013/14 season reached his peak with 17.6 points and 8.8 assists per game.
