Defending champions Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 in the English Premier League today.
Senegalese Sadio Mane scored the two goals for Liverpool at the start of the second half, as his team beat Chelsea, who ended the match with 10 men.
The first half was evenly matched before Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was sent off just before the break after he prevented Mane from being alone.
Chelsea missed an opportunity to reduce teams after receiving a penalty kick after a foul from newly signed substitute Thiago against Timo Werner, but goalkeeper Alison Baker saved Jorginho's bid a quarter of an hour before the end.
Liverpool scored its second victory in two games, bringing its total to six points, three points ahead of Chelsea.
