London - Sana
Aston Villa kicked off the season with a 1-0 victory over ten players from home to Sheffield United in the Premier League today thanks to a header by Isre Consa.
Despite the overload, Villa struggled to create chances against a highly organized team, but Kunsa header in the 63rd minute gave coach Dean Smith's side, who narrowly escaped relegation last season, a positive start.
Sheffield United played with 10 men after John Egan was sent off 12 minutes from the start for a tackle, but the visiting team missed a dangerous opportunity to open the scoring in the first half when Martinez, coming from Arsenal, saved John Lindstram's penalty.
In contrast, coach Chris Wilder's side began the season disappointingly after losing their second consecutive match in two games without scoring a goal.
