The 2020/21 season kicked off tonight (Tuesday) with two quarter-final games in the Winner's Cup.
The big comeback of the summer was for Donta Smith, who returned to Maccabi Haifa.
Tonight he led it to a victory over Urbani Nahariya (81:91) with an excellent game that included: 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and an index of 30. Chris Dow also scored 19 points.
Nahariya often scored: Lucas and Blosomgim 19 each.
Maccabi Haifa will meet Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the quarterfinals (from this stage all games will take place in Drive-In).
Hapoel Eilat defeated Ness Ziona 90:94 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Winner's Cup, where they will meet Hapoel Jerusalem on Thursday.
Ariel Beit Halachmi's team continued the good ability from the preparation games and enjoyed the tremendous ability of Yonatan Schuldbrand who sniped unconsciously and showed that even at 37 he is one of the best highs we have to offer.
