Morata to Juventus
After the failed transfer of Luis Suárez, the Italian record champions Juventus signed attacker Álvaro Morata from Atlético Madrid, according to media reports.
The 27-year-old Spaniard arrived in Turin on Monday evening and underwent medical checks on Tuesday before signing the contract.
Morata, who played for Juve between 2014 and 2016, will be trained there by his former team-mate Andrea Pirlo.
He celebrated a successful coaching debut last weekend in a 3-0 win against Sampdoria Genoa.
Morata is signed on loan, the fee is said to be ten million euros.
The attacker will probably continue to collect the annual salary of five million euros.
With a firm commitment, the transfer fee should amount to 45 million euros.
Icelandic competitor for Leno
The German international Bernd Leno gets new competition at Arsenal FC.
The Premier League club signed Icelandic goalkeeper Alex Rúnarsson from Dijon on Monday.
According to the club, the 25-year-old received a four-year contract.
"We want to create healthy competition in the squad and we look forward to Alex adding more depth to the goalkeeper position in the future," said Arsenal team manager Mikel Arteta.
Leno has played for Arsenal since 2018.
The 28-year-old has so far completed seven missions for the DFB team.
