The 20/21 season in Israeli basketball will kick off today, with two quarterfinals that will open the 15th edition of the Winner's Cup.
In recent years, all the league teams have participated in the factory, but this season Hapoel Tel Aviv will be missing (it will compete in the Champions League qualifiers the next day).
This year's tournament will be spread over almost three weeks and will end on October 11.
Starting in the quarterfinals, all games will be run-in.
Dontae Smith's comeback to Maccabi Haifa and Israeli basketball will focus attention on the meeting in Romema against Nahariya.
More comebacks in Haifa: Alex Chubarevich and Avi Ben Shimol.
By the way, the Greens have not won a game in the factory since 2012.
After Sean Armand left Maccabi Rishon LeZion, she and Nahariya are the only ones who have not completed the foreign quota and they only have three at the moment.
Nahariya reached the semifinals last season and before that the finals, and twice lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv. The winner of tonight's game will meet Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

In a parallel game, Urbani Ness Ziona will host Hapoel Eilat for an intriguing battle on the lines.
On the one hand, Brad Greenberg will make his debut in the heart of the colony after three seasons at Maccabi Ashdod, and on the other hand, Ariel Beit Halachmi, who was fired from Hapoel Tel Aviv last season and will have his first official game as Eilat coach.
