in the extra time of the final of the European Super Cup. At the Puskas Arena in Budapest, with around 20,000 spectators in a stadium with a capacity of 67,000, the Bavarian team beat Julen Lopetegui's team after overcoming an initial penalty goal by Lucas Ocampos in the 12th minute. The Germans tied the game in the first half with a goal from Goretzka and in the 103rd minute of extra time Javi Martínez gave the final blow to the match. The Spanish midfielder headed in after a poor clearance by Bono in a shot that came after a corner kick. Sevilla, who already won the title in 2006 when they beat Ronaldinho's Barcelona, are without the first European title of the season after winning the Europa League last August. Bayern, who have not lost an official match since last December and who arrived after winning the Champions League in Lisbon and thrashing Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga debut 8-0, managed to raise the second European Super Cup in their history.
