There is good news for the ice hockey top division around SC Riessersee: 80 percent of the spectator failures are compensated.

But beyond that there are many questions.

One answer is the number of viewers.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen

- Through the glass you can see what so many are longing for.

On the ice, children and young people carry the pucks past the goalies into the goal, fight one another and are instructed by their coaches what they should do better.

They play ice hockey.

A few meters further up, on the other side of the glass, people only talk about sport.

But what was discussed there in the VIP room of the Olympic Ice Sports Center was of great importance.

The SC Riessersee had invited to the press conference.

In addition to a few journalists, SCR managing director Pana Christakakis, Andreas Wieland, commercial director of the GmbH and politicians Bernhard Pohl and Florian Streibl (both free voters) were present.

The plan of the two members of the state parliament was to report on the state of affairs with regard to the start of the season in the Oberliga as well as financial subsidies in the event of a lack of audience income.

SC Riessersee receives 80 percent compensation for spectator failures

The good news for the league clubs: They get 80 percent compensation for spectator failures.

But behind this point there are still many question marks hidden.

Does that also apply to losses in preparation games?

How is the 80 percent offset - per game compared to the previous season, per month or in relation to the overall average of the previous season?

Pohl described the calculation per game as the most sensible variant, "but that still needs to be clarified." It is also questionable to what extent the clubs will be helped with the additional costs through the hygiene concepts.

Christakakis speaks of 20,000 to 25,000 euros.

But it wasn't just questions that remained unanswered; some, especially those relating to the SCR, were answered.

The managing director reported on a difficult but constructive conversation on Wednesday in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen health department.

Both parties initially disagreed on the question: How many spectators are allowed into the stadium?

In the end, they agreed on 1000 in preparation.

1000 spectators in preparation a recommendation: SC Riessersee wants to stick to it

Another interview will be held before the league starts on November 6th.

These 1000 are to be understood as a recommendation.

The law states that the traditional club should take in 20 percent of the stadium's capacity.

That would be 1373 with a capacity of 6868 spectators. But the SCR wants to stick to the recommendation.

The Olympic Ice Sports Center will be divided into two sectors, north and south.

Means: two entrances, two exits, each one-way street.

A fan sitting in the north stand cannot say goodbye to his specialist on the south side.

For the time being, there will be no standing stands.

Only seats are occupied.

The calculation is: one occupied seat, two free next to it.

Eating and drinking is only done while sitting in the usual place.

There will be no alcohol.

Guest fans also look into the tube, they cannot buy tickets.

Speaking of tickets: next week on Thursday, season ticket sales at the SCR should begin.

One day later, Christakakis expects the league schedule.

The season tickets can only be purchased in the office.

The box office item was not rejected in the conversation with the health department.

The club will decide at a later date whether there will be one.

It is now clear that the temperature of every visitor is checked before they enter the stadium.

The Riessersee's hygiene concept is a full 62 pages long.

A corresponding amount of work has been invested.

And it is precisely this effort that Pohl wanted to praise once again.

He certified the league club to have done a “great job” and “a lot of preparatory work” for the politicians.
