Hygiene concept, different requirements of the associations, admission control: SV Lohhof is gearing up for the first home game in Corona mode.

The team manager explains how.

Lohhof

- Since the beginning of September sports competitions with spectators were also released, the sports clubs are again in concept creation mode: grandstands are measured, spectator paths checked, scenarios played out.

The organization team of the volleyball second division club SV Lohhof has decided to start at the home premiere in the BOS / FOS hall on Sunday (4 p.m.) against TSV Waldgirmes with 100 spectators.

A conversation with the team manager of the Lohhof second division team, Martina Banse, about complex decision-making.

Ms. Banse, for the start of the season at home you choose the golden mean between a ghost game and a maximum of 200 spectators.

How did the decision come about?

We actually thought of everything, including checking streaming options for a ghost game.

But I can't do that to the girls!

Home premiere as championship leader and then without fans?

It does not work.

The health department would have allowed 200 spectators, but we're starting with 100 fans as a test.

The pre-registration by e-mail is open, there will still be around 40 tickets at the cash desk on Sunday as things stand.

With distance, of course, hygiene rules and the list for recording contact data.

But first of all, with a smaller backdrop, we are testing how and where the spectators sit and distribute them in the hall.

Then we think about the next step.

The German Volleyball League (VBL) has created a very extensive hygiene concept for all clubs in the first and second league - can you implement that?

The VBL draft comprises 90 pages and also applies to halls such as the Max-Schmeling-Halle, which holds over 10,000 spectators.

Of course, we had to adapt that to our local conditions and first of all clarify what actually applies to us.

40 pages were then already gone.

We can accommodate a maximum of 200 spectators, even if we apply the 20 percent rule of the maximum hall capacity.

We could even do that without additional folders, for example, I think.

Folder maybe not, but what additional measures are there?

On Sunday, I know almost all of the viewers who have registered so far personally - I rely heavily on the reason factor.

But of course: disinfectant dispensers must be there, certain areas must be marked and of course the 1.5 meter intervals must be stuck.

This time I'm going to do the admission personally, I keep the lists and ask everyone whether they're fit.

And the visiting team must also be informed: where is the active area, where are the spectators allowed to go, what are the routes?

We also make sure that active people and spectators do not come into contact.

A lot of additional effort - is there anything left out?

Unfortunately, the catering will be narrower than usual.

There will only be bottled soft drinks.

As a nationwide league, we are not allowed to serve alcohol anyway.

But new construction sites are constantly opening up: the training time in Bavaria is currently limited to 120 minutes, and the Bavarian Association also stipulates that you ventilate after the second set.

As the responsible organization, the VBL does not stipulate a ventilation break.

Sometimes I think: don't you ever stop!
