The Bayern division win 2-1 against Freising, but there is still a lot to do.
Erding - Finally ice hockey can be played again in the Erdinger ice rink.
In the first test match, the Erding Gladiators won 2: 1 (0: 1, 1: 0, 1: 0) against the regional division SE Freising.
But the game wasn't really meaningful for the Bayern division after a preparation with many obstacles.
No spectators were allowed to play this friendly game, but this was not due to Corona.
There is still a lot of building site activity in the hall, so no rooms in the new building on the west side are usable - including toilet facilities.
Construction site hockey was more of a training than a test match.
With the main referee Lukas Kohlmüller, the game had an internationally experienced referee, who pointed out the limits and sent three Freingers to the penalty bench in the first eight minutes.
But the gladiators could not use the power play situations, which was not least thanks to the outstanding guest goalkeeper Manuel Hanisch.
Then the Freising outnumbered for the first time, and Christian Semmler was promptly successful in the margin to make it 1-0 (14th).
In the second third it was more of a game of gladiators against Hanisch.
The SEF keeper saved spectacularly against Philipp Michl (22nd), Florian Zimmermann (27th), Mark Waldhausen (28th) and Alex Gantschnig (29th).
He was powerless against Christian Poetzel's margin to make it 1-1 (34th), but only a minute later he destroyed a chance from Martin Dürr.
In the final section, the game rippled by.
But goalkeeper Thomas Mende, who stood between the posts for Christoph Schedlbauer on his 27th birthday from the second section on, was hardly tested.
On the other hand, a flash of inspiration from Gantschnig made it 2: 1 (52nd).
That was the final score.
