Now it's official: Israeli football has its first representative in the UAE.
Dia Seba signed today (Sunday) in El Nasser for two years with an option for a third year, and will earn two million dollars per season before bonuses.
Thus, Gwangju R&F was left without Israelis, after Eran Zehavi left for PSV Eindhoven.
Seba scored five goals in ten league games this season, while last season - his debut season in China - he finished with 13 conceded in 26 games.
Seba's agent Ronen Katsav said after the signing: "The desire for peace and respect for each other and acceptance of the other also made the group respect the Jewish religion, at our request and at the request of Dia himself, and sign before Yom Kippur, for which we are grateful."

Al Nasser is the oldest professional team in the UAE.
She was founded in 1945 and won three championships, the last of which was in 1986. She finished as runner-up four times.
The team is coached by the Croatian Kronoslav Jurcic, and the staff consists mostly of local players.
Seba will be the team's fifth foreigner alongside Brazilian Glover, Portuguese Touza, Ryan Mendes from Cape Verde and Brandali Pazvi from Corusau.
The 27-year-old Seba grew up in the youth department of Ness Tobruk and received his first opportunity at Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2011, but was later loaned to Hapoel Beer Sheva and did not make a mark there.
Seba also played for Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Petah Tikva, but in 2014 he made the breakthrough in his career at Maccabi Netanya in the media. He played for four years and scored 45 goals in 100 appearances.
Seba's success prompted Alona Barkat to buy him for € 1.9 million, but Chinese Guangzhou bought him in January 2019 for $ 5 million.
Seba also has nine appearances and three goals for the Israeli national team.
