Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas has won the Russian Grand Prix.

The Finn benefited from a time penalty from team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who was third behind Max Verstappen (Red Bull).

With the 91st Grand Prix triumph in Sochi, Hamilton would have set Michael Schumacher's record.

It is the second most important brand and also the penultimate one: At the end of the season, the Dominator should catch up with the German's seven World Cup titles.

After the race commission announced on lap eight that Hamilton would receive two five-second penalties for starting the warm-up twice from an irregular position before the race, he briefly dropped back to 11th place.

On lap 17, Hamilton had already done the ten seconds in the pit stop.

The Ferrari drivers show once again that they are not competitive.

The four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel landed in 13th place. For the German, it was his 250th race in Formula 1 - only nine drivers have completed more Grand Prix in history.

Teammate Charles Leclerc, who was second for a short time, dropped to seventh after a pit stop.

In the end, it was enough for sixth place.
