City and Benfica swap their defenders
Coach Pep Guardiola gets reinforcements for his vulnerable central defense.
For around 71 million euros, the Portuguese Ruben Dias is moving from Benfica Lisbon to the English football runner-up Manchester City.
In return, Manchester’s Nicolas Otamendi will play for the Portuguese record champions, for which City will receive 15 million euros.
Benfica announced the agreement in principle on Sunday, but both players have yet to sign the contracts.
The deficiencies on the defensive of ManCity became more than clear on Sunday evening.
In the home game against Leicester City, the team received a bitter 2: 5 bankruptcy.
Guardiola had to accept five goals for the first time in the 686th game of his coaching career.
Dias should give the defense more stability after the departure of Vincent Kompany last summer.
Karius transfer already perfect?
The 1. FC Union Berlin and goalkeeper Loris Karius should agree, according to information from the "kicker", about a move to the Alte Försterei for a year.

Karius has already played 91 times in the Bundesliga for FSV Mainz 05, but he has no prospects at Liverpool FC.
Karius was already on loan to Besiktas Istanbul in 2018 and came back to coach Jürgen Klopp's speeches in May of this year.
Lookman tries the Premier League
The planned loan from Ademola Lookman to Fulham FC is apparently perfect.
According to matching media reports, the striker of the Bundesliga soccer club RB Leipzig is moving to the English Premier League for one year.
Lookman came to Leipzig in the summer of 2019 for 18 million euros and still has a contract with the Saxons until 2024. Last season, the 22-year-old played eleven times in the league for RB, but only started once.
The purchase of central defender Josko Gvardiol, which has also been initiated, is about to be concluded.
The 18-year-old is expected to take the medical check on Monday, but will stay with Dinamo Zagreb at least until winter.
The transfer fee is 18 million euros.
