Even in his wildest dreams, it is doubtful if Luis Suarez was able to imagine such a successful debut as he recorded last night (Sunday) in the Atletico Madrid uniform.
The star who came from Barcelona got up from the bench in the 70th minute, and managed to end the game with two goals and cooking in the resounding 1: 6 of his new team over Granada.
"I'm very happy, first of his debut and then of the win," Suarez conceded at the end.
"It was fun to play in this great stadium, with great players. The players got on great with him and that's the basis of everything. I want to thank everyone. Sometimes it's important for a player to make a career change. I came to a club that welcomed me with open arms."

The Uruguayan replaced Diego Costa, who sounded enthusiastic about the collaboration on the edge.
"It's great, one bites and the other kicks," he joked.
"We are lucky that he is here. I do not understand how Barcelona let him leave. He will help us with a lot of goals and with his militant nature and hunger for titles."
On his own future, Diego Costa said: "I do not want to fight at the club and be a burden. I told them I was willing to leave if they wanted to, but if I stayed, I would fight for my place. Anything can happen this season, I just have to be ready and score goals."
"Lewis came up and did what he knows how to do," complimented coach Diego Simeone.
"He played for the team, and I'm not just talking about the duo who scored. Every time a great footballer comes the team gets better, but we already worked very well before Lewis came."
