After three regional league defeats in a row against FC Passau, the footballers of Kirchheimer SC have now got a point at 1-1 (1-0).
Kirchheim– "After the first half the draw would not have been enough for me, but overall the result is okay," said KSC player-coach Steven Toy.
Günther Himpsl couldn't believe his eyes: “From one day to the next we suddenly had winter here,” said the FC Passau coach in astonishment given the lower temperatures and the “brutally deep” grass in the Dreiflüssestadion due to the heavy rains.
And like his counterpart Steven Toy, he was quite satisfied with the 1-1 draw despite the difficult space conditions.
Both teams - Michael Geier and Noel Pfeiffer moved into the starting line-up for the ailing Samuel Kaltenhauser and Marco Flohrs at Kirchheim - met at eye level.

KSC attacker Peter Schmöller first shot Passau's keeper Marsel Caka after a cross from Matthias Ecker (37th), before converting a penalty to his eleventh goal of the season three minutes later - Andreas Gerlsberger had taken Pfeiffer off his feet in the penalty area.
Toy thought: “At that point we were absolutely deserved to be in the lead.” Nevertheless: There was no excess of goal area scenes in this game, the defensive rows were good.
After the break, the people of Kirchheim only managed to achieve “95 percent” of their efficiency for just under half an hour.
The KSC kickers had to be on their guard especially with standards and high balls.
In the end, another throw-in conjured up the Passau equalizer: The ball ended up at Noah Aklassou, who celebrated his first goal from the start in his second national league game (62nd).
