Karius joins Union from Liverpool
Loris Karius will initially come to Union Berlin for one year.
The Liverpool goalkeeper, who last played for Besiktas Istanbul for two years, is on loan for one year.
Karius is planned as a regular player in the long term, Andreas Luthe will then have to sit on the bench.
The former Augsburg player had played the first three competitive games of the season as the successor to Rafal Gikiewicz.
"I'm looking forward to my new job in Berlin and I'm happy to be able to play in the Bundesliga again. Union is a special club that has not only earned a lot of respect when it was promoted to the Bundesliga," said Karius in a press release from Union quotes.
In 2012, Karius moved from Manchester City's youth to FSV Mainz and rose to number one there.
In 2016 he switched to coach Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC.
His time with the Reds ended two years later with two serious mistakes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, possibly related to a concussion he suffered in that game.
In the second year of their Bundesliga membership, the Berlin team are counting on the second internationally experienced player.
The former national player Max Kruse had already switched to Union before, but has not yet been able to fight for a place in the starting line-up after training deficit.
Union is in the lower midfield after a point from two Bundesliga games.
Leipzig brings defensive talent from Zagreb
RB Leipzig have signed Josko Gvardiol from Dinamo Zagreb.
The 18-year-old defender will not join the Bundesliga club until July 1, 2021.
The Croatian U21 international signed a contract until 2026. The club announced.
According to reports, a transfer fee of around 18 million euros should flow.

Leeds want to sign Cuisance
The last two competitive games of FC Bayern Munich have shown that the German champions need more depth in the squad.
On the access side, however, nothing has happened at Bayern so far, instead, another player could leave the club with French midfielder Michael Cuisance.
As "L'Èquipe reports, Premier League promoted Leeds United are interested in Cuisance. The transfer fee is said to be around 20 million euros, and a contract is under discussion until the end of 2025.
The change would pay off financially for the Munich team.
In the summer of 2019, the club Cuisance from Borussia Mönchengladbach had signed for a transfer fee of allegedly around ten million euros.
The Frenchman signed a contract until the summer of 2024, but has not made it past supplementary player status since then.
