Genoa announced last night (Monday) that 14 people at the club have been found to be carriers of the corona virus, with estimates in the boot country being that 8 of them are players.

This news was published less than 24 hours after the Rosobello were defeated 6-0 by Napoli.

Lasse Moda and Matthias Perrin were already diagnosed as positive a few days ago and did not participate in the game on Sunday, and the Gazzetta dello Sport reported today that out of the 14 more diagnosed, 8 are players, bringing the number of positive footballers to 10.

Tests were done after the defeat to Napoli and although the names of the new carriers have not yet been announced, it is estimated that at least some of them were on the pitch.

The club from southern Italy are now preparing with great apprehension for the test results, all before the game against Juventus at the beginning of next week.

Meanwhile, Genoa's city rival, Sampdoria, has itself announced that winger Keita Balde's check has been positive.

Balde underwent medical tests after his loan was agreed from Monaco for a million euros (with a purchase option of 12 million euros).

The physical tests passed without any problem, but the corona test revealed that he was carrying the virus.
