The eighth round of the League Cup final begins tonight (Tuesday) with an intriguing meeting between two top teams in the Premier League.
Tottenham, who will meet Maccabi Haifa on Thursday in the Europa League qualifiers, skipped Leyton Orient from League 2 in the previous round without playing, following the infection of the four rival players in Corona, when it was finally decided to raise the Roosters to the next stage.
The Blues did not have a hard time against Burnsley, who defeated them 0: 6 on the way to tonight's meeting.
Frank Lampard's team will want to recover from a somewhat hesitant start to the season in the league, after absorbing a 2-0 home draw from Liverpool and extracting 3: 3 in the skin of their teeth against West Bromwich Albion, with a lone win in three rounds.
The host will also want to put behind them the last league round, in which they dropped three points in the last minute of extra time against Newcastle, from which they parted ways 1-1.
Ben Chillwell makes his debut in Lampard's 11 starters, while Sergio Regilon makes his debut for Mourinho.
Tottenham composition:
Hugo Loris, Toby Elderworld, Serge Oriya, Stephen Brahwin, Eric Dyer, Jedson Fernandez, Eric Lamela, Tangi Endombela, Sergio Regilon, Musa Sisoko, Jaft Tanga.
Chelsea
squad
:
Edouard Mendy, Cesar Espiliquata, Kurt Zuma, Pikayo Tumori, Ben Chilwell, Giorgini, Mateo Kovacic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud.
