English Premier League club Chelsea Football Club announced the loan of Ross Barkley to his fellow countryman Aston Villa.
Aston Villa coach Dean Smith revealed on its official website today that the club had borrowed Barclay, a 26-year-old Chelsea midfielder for one year, and commented on his team's contract with Barclay, saying, "Having a player of Ross Barclay's quality is a coup for our club and I'm sure he will develop and improve our team."
Next Sunday, Barclay will start his new adventure with Aston Villa in front of the league champion Liverpool in the fourth stage of the Premier League.
