Great efforts have been made in the Police Club to prepare their horses for the speed races, to bear fruit by obtaining a series of advanced centers during the races held by the Syrian Arabian Horse Association during the current season.

A race in which the police horses participated, only crowned one of the advanced centers, but the fourth periodic race that was held last Friday was the most distinguished for these horses by obtaining the first three positions at once in the 1600 meters race.

Head of the Police Equestrian Club, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry, said in a statement to the representative of SANA Sports, “Regular intensive daily preparations are taking place in the Police Club under the supervision of a distinguished elite of riders and technical and training cadres with the aim of bringing the horses to the readiness required to compete in local entitlements in various types of equestrian sports, where the optimal preparations have been translated into Reality by winning the first three places in the fourth race in the third-class pure Syrian horse race.

Al-Masry added that the club was able to achieve second place on the list of stables participating in sprints, as it holds 24 points in its balance and aspires to gain more points in the upcoming races, noting at the same time that the coronation of three consecutive places at once is a precedent that no one club has achieved In speed races, trainers will be motivated to train horses intensively within well-thought-out foundations to achieve more advanced results in the upcoming races.

The Police Club is one of the clubs distinguished in equestrian sport, as it practices it in all its forms, from hurdling to speed races to the sport of picking pegs, which is unique to its practice. The Police Club has been approved to represent the Syrian national team in this sport in international championships since 2008.
