With seven gold, seven silver and five bronze medals, the district athletes have returned home from the Upper Bavarian U14 youth championships in Bad Endorf.

District

- With 194 participants from 39 clubs, the title fights were well attended.

In some huge starting fields with almost 40 athletes, the athletes fought exciting competitions for the first big medals for the twelve and 13-year-olds.

These championships are the highest of their kind for this age group.

The most successful club in these championships was TV Emmering.

The exceptional young talent Magdalena David took a permanent place on the podium.

In the youth W13, the versatile athlete won four gold medals.

She could not be conquered over the 60 meter hurdles: With 9.66 seconds she was the clear Upper Bavarian champion with almost five meters ahead of Sophia Gerg from LG Oberland.

Gold number two already followed in the high jump: with 1.46 meters she landed very thinly in front of Florentine Toppe from TSV Wolfratshausen, who had made more failed attempts.

The long jump final for the 13-year-old was just as close: Here, David landed in her gold triumph at 4.76 meters - two centimeters more than the runner-up.

Clear conditions prevailed in the discus, however: There the Emmeringer worked her way up to 30.87 meters.

A proud 6.63 meter lead brought her gold here.

This time she only had to be satisfied with the runner-up title in the javelin throw.

Theresa Stangl celebrated her first big success in the W12 youth pole vault: With 2.10 meters she surprised as the new Upper Bavarian Vice-Champion behind the favored Sophia Obermayer from TSV Wasserburg.

The male offspring from Emmering also showed their best side.

The two 4x75-meter relays in the U14 made a successful start: Bronze went to the relay with Moritz Brinkmann, Joona Rombold, Philip Seeliger and Mario Mönninger with 41.50 seconds.

Things went even better for Mönninger in youth M13.

There he kidnapped a complete set of medals to Emmering: The all-rounder over 60 meter hurdles with 9.56 seconds was the new Upper Bavaria champion.

In the pole vault, his new personal record of 3.10 meters meant the runner-up title.

He won bronze in the discus final with 30.43 meters and was fourth in the shot put with 10.31 meters.

The successful family tradition in the pole vault continued in the youth M12 Jonas Henne: With a remarkable 2.30 meters he was deservedly Upper Bavarian champion.

Completely unexpectedly, Moritz Brinkmann became Upper Bavarian champion in the youth javelin throwing M12: With his new record of 35.34 meters, he left the favored Henry von Haniel from TSV Schleissheim clearly behind him with 33.88 meters.

At the same time he was fourth in the pole vault.

The M12 pole vault was already a successful Emmeringen project: Silver went to Elias Henne with 2.20 meters and bronze to Ole Erichsen with 2.10 meters.

SV Germering collected three medals in Bad Endorf with a small selection of talent.

Two-time Upper Bavarian Vice-Champion was Benedikt Maurer in the youth category M13.

With 10.17 seconds he took second place over 60 meter hurdles.

There was also silver for the Germeringer in the high jump: with 1.52 meters, he missed victory by just three centimeters.

In the M13 youth pole vault, Simon Schmidlkofer unexpectedly took bronze in front of his training partner Jannis Marklseder.
