2020-10-01T15:00:04.005Z

Covid-19 obliges, this charitable sporting event, which brings together more than 35,000 participants each year in Vincennes, takes place in a conne way

Maintain "the pink thread" because "researchers need funds" ... If due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Odyssea could not maintain its race in Vincennes in Val-de-Marne (which had gathered 38,000 runners in 2019 and raised 600,000 euros for the benefit of research against breast cancer), the event takes place virtually, from this Thursday, October 1 until Sunday.

All you have to do is register on the runningheroes platform (you have the choice between 5 and 10 km) and download your bib.

The race starts where you want and when you want, alone or accompanied, the principle being to complete your challenge (by running or walking) before Sunday at 6 p.m.

A ranking will be established, even if the primary idea is not to achieve a performance, but to run for a good cause, since the funds will be entirely donated to the Gustave Roussy Institute.

More than ten million euros raised since the creation

“It was important for us to maintain the event which, since its creation, has raised more than 10 million euros for the fight against cancer,” explains Frédérique Quentin, one of the organizers.

This is a charity race to which the participants are extremely attached.

"

Throughout the year, Odyssea, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2021, organizes 14 races throughout France (1.2 million euros were raised in 2019).

Due to Covid-19, several of them will take place in a connected way.
