Elena Ostapenko knocked out French Open second-seeded rival Karolina Pliskova, Roland Garros, after she beat her 6-4 6-2 in the second round.
Reuters reported that the Latvian player Ostapenko broke her opponent 3 times in the first set and twice in the second set to secure the victory and settled the match from the third chance when Pliskova, who committed 25 easy mistakes, hit a forehand off the field.
Ostapenko will play in the next match with former US Open champion Sloane Stephens or Spanish Paula Padosa.
