For the first time in seven years, the award goes back to the Bundesliga, again to FC Bayern: Robert Lewandowski was named Europe's Footballer of the Year by the European Football Association Uefa.
The Polish striker prevailed against his teammates Manuel Neuer and Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City.
Lewandowski was also honored as the best striker of the Champions League year.
In 2013, Franck Ribéry was the last Bundesliga player to receive the award for Europe's best player.
Pernille Harder, who played for VfL Wolfsburg until the end, but will be under contract with Chelsea in the future, was named Player of the Year.
But even Neuer did not go home without a price.
He was named goalkeeper of the season, with the women's award going to Lyon's goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi.
Bayern's Joshua Kimmich received the award for Defensive Player of the Year, and Wendie Renard from Olympique Lyon for women.
The French champions also had the best midfielder, Germany's national player Dzsenifer Maroszan.
In the case of men, this became De Bruyne.
Pernille Harder was named striker of the year.
And still not enough for Bayern in this award marathon: Hans-Dieter Flick became coach of the year.
