The return of Spurs coach José Mourinho to his old place of work could not have been more triumphant.
Tottenham Hotspur won 6-1 (4-1) in the Premier League duel at Manchester United.
The hosts got off to a good start: Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty owed to Anthony Martial to 1-0 for United in the second minute.

Then things went downhill: the Spurs turned the game around within minutes: Tanguy NDombélé equalized in the 4th minute, Son Heung-min scored shortly after to make it 2-1 for the Spurs (7th minute).
After Martial saw the red card for assault (28th), Mourinho's team increased to 4-1 by Harry Kane (31st) and Son (37th) until half-time.
Most recently, Manchester United conceded four goals in the league in May 1990 against Nottingham Forest in the first half.
The second half brought no relief for the United fans, on the contrary.
Serge Aurier (51st) and Kane with a penalty (79th) screwed the result to 6: 1.
United had only lost that high once in the Premier League, which started in 1992: at 1: 6 in November 2011 against local rivals City.
