Roman Halep's exit from Roland Garros

First seed Romanian Simona Halep exited from the women's singles competitions in the French International Open tennis championship after her defeat today by the promoted Polish Iga Chiantik in the fourth round round 16 by 6/1 and 6/2.

Reuters reported that Chiantec, 19, the world number 54, lost last year to Halep in the same role in the championship version at the Parisian sandy Roland Garros.
