As can be seen in the upcoming window of the 2022 European Championship qualifiers, the home of the Israeli team will be played in a "bubble" in Valencia, "Israel Today" first learned in collaboration with the Spanish journalist Chama de Lucas.
As you may recall, a few weeks ago, FIBA announced that due to the corona virus in the next two windows, each house would be held in a bubble in one of the teams embedded in the same house instead of the teams having to be hosted by each other.
The Israeli team is placed in House A along with Spain, Romania and Poland.
Recently the Spaniards have expressed interest in hosting the bubble in the games window that will take place at the end of November and in the coming days FIBA needs to confirm this definitively. If something unexpected happens and the Spaniards do not get permission to host the games
Israel leads the home side with a balance of two wins in the first two games and in the next window is set to play against Spain and Poland.
Due to the spread of the corona virus in Israel, the Basketball Association did not request to host the window games in November, but it is not inconceivable that if the situation improves by the next and final window in February, Israel will examine the possibility of hosting the games.
