In response to statements by senior Ministry of Health officials, and apparently also following pressure from team owners and players, Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper responded this morning (Thursday) emphatically: "Stop unnecessary threats on Israeli sports."
"I call on the Ministry of Health to stop making unnecessary threats to Israeli sports," the sports minister wrote. "At our request, the Israeli government has approved regulations that allow international teams and players to continue training continuously so that they can represent the State of Israel with dignity." Legal and especially offensive to Israeli sports for free.
"I call on all Israeli sportsmen to follow regulations and rules and enlist like everyone else in the national task of lowering the morbidity rate.
