Danny Green is one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA Finals history.

But the Lakers' guard was the "goat to hell" of the team's fans after receiving a ball from Melbourne and missing a completely free three that could have arranged for his team a win and a championship at the expense of Miami in game number five.

Green and his fiancée were exposed to threats on social media, including death threats.

Today, just before the sixth game in the series, Green responded to those threatening and attacking: "It's a basketball game. I hope people will not take it so seriously. I hope they will have the same passion for voting and doing justice for people as they have on this issue."

LeBron, who over the years has come under heavy criticism for his tendency to deliver in crucial moves and not throw himself "by force," has not regretted the decision, and he has received mixed reactions.

While CJ McCollum supported LeBron's decision, for example, his Portland teammate Damian Lillard said "I would throw it away."

"LeBron made the right move, but I'm still throwing over the two fucking guards," he tweeted.

Former Baron Davis player sided with LeBron and wrote last night: "LeBron is a genius when it comes to basketball, stop playing games with him. All the shit they say they would throw, you always wait in the corner ...".

By the way, there are those who also criticize Danny Green for the mistake.

Mario Chalmers, who collaborated with LeBron in Miami, wrote last night that "I would have scored that shot."
