Nîmes-PSG: a real headache for Thomas Tuchel

There were still so few people on Monday for the resumption of training for PSG.

International truce requires, only a handful of players are currently at the Lodge camp.

Thomas Tuchel has been leading sessions for several days where only Pablo Sarabia, Abdou Diallo, Rafinha, Ander Herrera, Mauro Icardi, Jesé, Angel Di Maria and Layvin Kurzawa appear.

Thilo Kehrer, who suffered from adductors, resumed racing at the end of last week.

The Parisian coach will therefore spend two days a little tense in front of his television.

He will have to count the playing times of his internationals in order to imagine which team he could align this Friday in Nîmes (21 hours) for the account of the 7th day of Ligue 1. A match fixed 48 hours, only, after the last international meetings.

Including its youngest elements Timothée Pembélé and Kays Ruiz-Atil, selected with the U19 tricolors opposed this Monday Germany, fifteen Parisians are currently selected with their selections.

Only a part will have sufficient time to recover between the obligations in selection and the departure in the Gard scheduled for this Friday morning.

This is the case of Colin Dagba who faces Slovakia this Monday with the Bleuets on behalf of the qualifiers for the Euro Espoirs.

The German Julian Draxler and the Senegalese Idrissa Gueye play on Tuesday respectively against Switzerland and Mauritania, which gives them hope to be operational.

Just like for Mitchel Bakker, selected Tuesday in Cyprus by the Netherlands team.

It seems more complicated for Argentina's Leandro Paredes who plays in Bolivia on Tuesday night.

Worse, Neymar and Brazil move to Peru overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

His return to Paris is not expected at best before Thursday morning.

A first tenure for Rafinha?

For European players who play Wednesday night, a point should be made when they return to training on Thursday.

According to their different playing times, the participation of world champions Kylian Mbappé and Presnel Kimpembe, Portuguese Danilo Pereira or Italians Marco Verratti, Alessandro Florenzi and Moïse Kean will be studied.

Not certain that the coaches are very understanding with the constraints of the Parisian technician and leave some players at rest as was the case for Kimpembe in September, left on the bench against Croatia (4-2) two days before the trip of PSG in Lens (0-1).

Thomas Tuchel therefore risks having to request efforts from some of his internationals.

With the suspensions of Di Maria, Kurzawa and Marquinhos (currently with Brazil), his room for maneuver is very narrow to compose his team against Nîmes.

Especially four days before Manchester United's reception for the start of the Champions League campaign.

Before knowing the compositions of the teams of France, Portugal and Italy this Wednesday evening, Tuchel can count in Nîmes on a defense that could include Dagba, Diallo and Bakker.

And maybe Kehrer if he's fit to start.

In midfield, Herrera and Rafinha apply just like Draxler and Gueye.

Icardi for his part is assured of being the holder at the forefront of the attack.

He could be accompanied by Sarabia and certainly Mbappé at least at kickoff.

This team would have the means to beat the current 13th in L1.

But she would certainly walk a tightrope before the great European leap.

Not the best way to prepare for the most important deadline of the start of the season.
