The most bizarre season the NBA has ever known came to an end with the Los Angeles Lakers' 17th championship, and now the United States is vacating to look ahead, to the 2020/21 season.
It is still unclear when it will open, some teams may make major changes to the roster, and yet ESPN conducted an early power rating, featuring 40 journalists, to try and predict what it will look like next year.
The new champion was placed in first place, on the assumption that she will be able to retain most of her most important players, and may even be able to strengthen a little.
Somewhat surprisingly, the Miami runner-up is ranked only ninth, despite the magical journey in the playoffs.
Second place went to another Los Angeles representative - the Clippers, who were a big disappointment in the last playoffs, but will line up with a new coach in place of Doc Rivers, and will once again showcase a talented roster.
Milwaukee Third, Denver Fourth, Dallas Fifth, Golden State Sixth, Boston Seventh, Philadelphia Eighth and Brooklyn lock in the top 10.
The betting agencies also place the Lakers as favorites to win the championship next season, ahead (in order) of the Clippers, Milwaukee, Milwaukee. And Brooklyn.
