Antoine Griezmann is once again flourishing in the French national team, and once again this highlights the big differences in his ability when he wears the Barcelona uniform.
The striker scored an excellent goal in the tricolor's 2-1 win over Croatia, rose to fifth place in the team's all-time scorers table with 32 goals, and at the end conveyed an indirect message to Barça coach Ronald Koeman.
"Deschamps knows what my correct position on the field is," Griezmann said.
"I take advantage of this situation, my position, the confidence that the coach and teammates give me."
Griezmann added that "it was a difficult game, not very pleasant to watch, not very pleasant to play, on a difficult surface. But we know how to endure and win, and I'm glad we did."
Deschamps has in recent weeks criticized Ronald Koeman, who often uses Griezmann in a side position and less close to goal.
Griezmann's season opener at Barcelona is not particularly impressive, but for the team it is a different opera.
"Antoine is a wonderful player. I am happy with the goal he scored today and the ability he shows in the national team. Barcelona? I try to deal exclusively with what happens in my shift," said the coach.

Another star who does not find himself in Spain and thrives in the national team, is Eden Hazard.
The winger may not be a partner last night in Belgium's 1-2 win over Iceland due to injury, but his teammate from Belgium and Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, is convinced he will return to his peak soon.
"It's about to explode. It's going to happen very soon," Courtois promised.
"I am convinced that we will see the well-known and good Eden Tsar at Real Madrid. He really wants it, and he is sure he is capable of it. Before his injury he showed good ability, but suffered from bad luck. It is not easy, but he looks very good in training, and sure to turn A lot more happiness for Real fans. "
