The coach and the goalkeeper coach, Gilles Fouache, will miss the gathering of the France team which begins on Monday.

The coach of the French women's team Corinne Diacre and her goalkeeper coach Gilles Fouache have tested positive for Covid-19.

It was the French Football Federation which announced it in a press release this Saturday noon.

The technician will therefore miss the next gathering of the France team which begins on Monday to prepare for the qualifying matches for Euro 2002 against North Macedonia on October 23 in Orleans and in Austria on October 27.

In its press release, the FFF indicates that Corinne Deacon and Gilles Fouache were tested positive during the test carried out before the next gathering of the Blue and that they are both asymptomatic.

During Deacon's solitary confinement, the French team was entrusted to assistant coach Eric Blahic and physical trainer Anthony Grech Angelin: “I entrust the selection with great confidence to Eric and Anthony.

We will exchange constantly during the 10 days of training with the unchanged objective of winning these two qualifying matches.

The situation is very specific, but we will adapt, the most important being to respect sanitary measures to preserve the health of all ”, declares Corinne Deacon on the FFF website.

Gilles Fouache, goalkeeper coach, will be replaced by a technician whose name will be communicated later.
