The new pioneer of Betar Jerusalem, Yarden Shua, was supposed to hold his first training session with the team today (Monday), but in practice he only attended the meeting, got to know his new friends in the locker room a bit, but he watched from the sidelines.

The reason why Shua was not allowed to train is that Maccabi Haifa and Betar Jerusalem have not yet officially signed the deal in question, which was agreed a few days ago, but in the capital they claim that these are only small details that will close today or tomorrow. This, after the two underwent a corona test and were found negative.

Meanwhile, the director of the youth department, Tomer Carmel, informed the group's management that he wanted to end his position at the club after serving in the position for two years, so that he could take care of his business and new business development.

"I would like to thank you for the trust and support I received from you along the way," Carmel said, "I am sure I will miss Betar, at least until my next challenge.

I wish you all great success and are always here for the club. "

Club chairman Eli Ohana said: "We sadly accepted Tomer's decision to leave the club. Since being appointed, he has managed to move mountains and hills for the benefit of the club's children and boys, and was part of the department's impressive change and development. How hard he worked and contributed to take the department forward, and he did so in a pleasant, honest and professional way. "

In the coming days, the club will examine a number of candidates and announce the appointment of a new director to the department.
