Last season, the Hapoel Holon club began in connection with the adoption of the Rett Syndrome Association.
The connection was expressed by hosting the Rett Syndrome Association families in an exciting tribute ceremony that opened one of the league games during October, which is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month, with the aim of contributing to disease awareness and encouraging drug development.
This year the times do not allow the team to host the families so in light of the situation it was decided to go out in a special tribute and join the association's "only eyes speak" campaign, in which all team players and professional staff were photographed with purple masks, the color associated with the club and the association.
Rett syndrome is a genetic and non-hereditary syndrome that occurs mainly in girls and not boys, which are currently defined as a risk group in the shadow of the corona crisis, and mark the month of awareness of the syndrome every year during October to increase efforts to find a cure for the disease.
