Just before the start of the Champions League season, Killian Ambape's future is in the headlines again.
"La Parisien" reported this morning (Tuesday) that the chances that the striker will extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain are slim, and that he is getting closer to Real Madrid.
Ambape ends a contract in the summer of 2022, but in recent months PSG have been making great efforts to extend his contract and scatter the cloud over his future at the club.
Despite this, according to the latest report Ambape "almost does not consider the possibility of continuing in Paris for the long term", which could cause his team to sell him in the summer of 2021 so as not to lose him for free.
Ambepa's release clause stands at 200 million euros, and apart from Real Madrid, La Parisian claim that Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona will also try to get their hands on him.
The old lady is considered an interesting option thanks to the chance to collaborate with Ambepa's childhood idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, but Real Madrid, his favorite team, is still considered the main candidate to sign him.

Further reinforcement was provided by former PSG coach Unai Emery, who revealed that while coaching the French luxury club, he became aware of Ambape's ambition to play for Real.
"Ambepa really loves Real. When I coached there, he talked seriously about the possibility of playing there, he sounded very excited about that option."
Emery said he had to persuade Ambape to stay.
"I did not want him to leave, and I did a marathon of personal conversations with him and his father. In the end he stayed, because it is not easy to leave Paris. That is true even today."
