Right-wing soccer fans fight for influence in the corners

2020-10-20T14:31:02.412Z

The often left ultra movements have ousted right from many stages. The neo-Nazi scene is now wondering how the loss of meaning can be stopped.

Three men are frustrated.

"In the past, which was a bit ago. Football was dominated by the right," says one.

Today, on the other hand, there wouldn't even be a predominance of right-wing fans in the corners at Hansa Rostock.

The circumstances, they are "deplorable," says another.

The three men who talk about the decline of right-wing hegemony in German football stadiums are the moderators of the podcast "Revolution auf Sendung" and their guest, who calls himself "Michi" and describes himself as a fan of Energie Cottbus.

The conversation was recorded and broadcast by the neo-Nazi small party "III. Way" at the beginning of October.

For almost an hour, "Michi" and the interviewers pursued the question: "How did it come about that left ultra groups set the tone, at least in West Germany, and right-wing fans in the stadium actually don't have much to say?"

What you get to hear is a detailed analysis of the loss of importance of the right wing - but also an instruction on how the situation in the stadiums can be reversed.
