FC Barcelona have extended the contracts of national goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, Gerard Piqué, Frenkie de Jong and Clément Lenglet in one go.
The 28-year-old Ter Stegen agreed with the Catalans, according to a statement from Tuesday evening, on a collaboration until mid-2025. The contract therefore contains a fixed transfer fee of 500 million euros.
Defensive boss Piqué, who flew off the pitch with red in the 5-1 win against Ferencvaros Budapest at the start of the Champions League season in the evening, can also leave Barça for half a billion euros.
However, the sum depends on a certain number of stakes.
It extended until 2024.
The exit clauses have more of a symbolic value anyway.
Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is under pressure after the Lionel Messi affair, squad planning that has failed for years and the club's immense debt.
There is currently a vote of no confidence in Bartomeu, and positive headlines are particularly important to him right now.
De Jong, who only moved to Barcelona a year ago, extended his contract, which originally ran until 2024, to 2026 and now has a fixed transfer fee of 400 million euros.
Lenglet also agreed on a contract until 2026. The Frenchman has an exit clause of 300 million euros in his contract.
Ter Stegen has been with the Spanish top club since 2014.
Since then he has won the Champions League, the Spanish Championship and the Spanish Cup, among others.
He is currently absent due to a knee injury.
