A young talent for the EC Peiting

The EC Peiting has signed a new player.

The 20-year-old was already used for the league team in the test matches against the "Starbulls Rosenheim".

Peiting - In the two test matches against the “Starbulls Rosenheim”, the striker with the shirt number 62 was already on the ice for EC Peiting.

Martin Hlozek is now a permanent member of the senior division team.

The ECP has now announced this.

Gordon Borberg is convinced of the potential of the 20-year-old German-Czech: "Martin is a very well trained player, strong in running, fast, good at targeting," the team manager is quoted as saying.

Hlozek comes from an ice hockey family.

His father Stanislav coached ESV Burgau until last season, his brother Michal (37) played for Höchstadt and Bayreuth in the Bavarian League, among others.

Martin Hlozek played among the youngsters at Augsburg EV and Regensburger EV.

In summer 2019 he moved to the Junior Academy of “Red Bull Salzburg” and played there with the U20 team in the “Alps Hockey League” (12 games / 1 goal / 4 assists) as well as in the DHL Cup and the DHL Supercup.

Hlozek will wear number 8 at the EC Peiting.

"We are happy that we get a little more depth in the squad with him," said ECP team manager Borberg.

At the same time, he curbs excessive expectations of the newcomer: "He's only just coming from the youth field, which means you still have to work a bit in one area or another, but we can certainly make a valuable player out of him."
