Late in the season, but at least one World Cup in the target jumping took place.

Athletes from all over Europe met in Belluno (Italy).

The sports promotion group from Altenstadt presented itself as the best team.

Belluno - Already early this year it was foreseeable that a “Parachute World Cup Series” (PWCS) would not work this year.

At the beginning of May, Gerhard Wagner from Schongau, in his role as president of the series, had to announce the cancellation.

At the same time there was still hope for some individual events in the target jumping.

At least one actually took place, it recently took place in Belluno, Italy.

There the jumpers of the Altenstadt sports promotion group took several top positions.

And Wagner also landed in the front of the field both in the overall and in the master's ranking.

The World Cup was scheduled for three days.

Already on the first day - in calm weather with sunshine - six out of eight laps could be held.

In between there were one or two challenges in terms of "wind", but the athletes mastered them.

On Saturday there was a small interruption due to low-hanging clouds, which blocked the view of the ground.

The missing two laps could still be completed.

Target jumping: Team Altenstadt wins by five centimeters

For the team of the Altenstadt sports promotion group, the competition ended with first place.

Sergeant Stefan Wiesner, Sergeant Christian Kautzmann, Sergeant Christoph Zahler, Sergeant Kai Erthel and Sergeant Nils Kammer found a deviation of 65 centimeters.

The lead over the second placed team, “PD Factory Team Accuracy” from Italy, was five centimeters.

Third place went to “Freeteam Italy” with a deviation of 92 centimeters.

18 teams with jumpers from eleven nations took part in the World Cup.

From the Altenstadt sports promotion group, the two NCOs Leon Vom and Laura Heck had traveled to Belluno.

They competed for the "German Eagles", with which they finished tenth.

Heck (26 centimeters) and this one (13) were the two best jumpers in this team.

In the individual ranking of all men, two athletes were in the lead, each with a difference of five centimeters: Wiesner and the Austrian Sebastian Graser (HSV Red Bull Salzburg).

Wiesner received the silver medal because he had two zeros less than the opponent.

In the juniors, this (13) and Kammer (16) landed second and third on the podium.

Heck (26) was fourth-best junior and fifth in the women's ranking.

Sergeant Major Wolfgang Lehner, who coached the Altenstadter in Belluno, spoke of a "positive end to this unusual competition season".

Gerhard Wagner from Schongau once again delivered a convincing performance in Italy.

The reigning German jumping champion over 50 years of age took eighth place in the master’s class.

After eight jumps, Wagner had a deviation of 14 centimeters (two zeros).

Schongau came fifteenth among all 72 male participants.

In the team classification he jumped for the "Paratec Factory Team", which was noted in fifth place.
