The female judo game at the Qasioun Club received attention and care, especially in young age groups, which made it distinguished by its results from most Damascus clubs under the supervision of coach Nadia Badr.

Badr, in an interview with the SANA sports bulletin, said: “The Qasiyon Club is distinguished in all combat games, including judo, as it always provides the requirements for the game in terms of equipment and training supplies and its management overcomes all difficulties and obstacles in order to appear well in the local championships,” noting that refining age groups Especially in the young and young girls' groups, it is the basis of success at the local and international levels, because they form a fertile base for receiving information and training quickly and masterfully.

Badr added that the female athletes train at the rate of three training sessions per week in the club hall according to a theoretically and practically studied scientific program to reach full readiness for the upcoming benefits, especially in the Damascus championships, the Republic Championships and the Junior Olympics, pointing out that the club has achieved in the past years many medals in the previously mentioned tournaments.

Badr indicated that the popularity of judo among females has become acceptable now compared to previous periods due to the misconception that says that fighting games are limited to men and not women, noting that judo is a flexible art and helps in softening, muscle development, intelligence, and harmless to the girl.

Badr revealed that she was born in 1977, and she is the first Syrian to get the belt (6 Dan) since the game entered Syria and the first coach in Syria to obtain training and arbitration certificates approved by the Game Union, pointing out that as a player she won the first place in the Republic Championships from 1990 until the year 1999 in a row in addition to the gold medal of the Arab Championship in Jordan.
