Nate Robinson has already done a few things in his career, but next month he faces one of the toughest challenges of his life.

The former NBA and Hapoel Tel Aviv player will enter the arena to fight YouTuber Jake Paul, as a prelude to Mike Tyson's comeback.

And while all eyes will surely be on one of the greatest boxers of all time, Robinson has also been gaining attention in the United States in recent days.

ESPN did a comprehensive article about the coordinator's boxing career (1.75m), which said: "I wake up early, run 6-7 miles, something I have not done in my life and I do now at 36. It makes me feel young and energetic and knows me for a part that "I knew I had. I hope I will surprise a lot of people, because most people think I will lose."

The former NBA ring champion started training last August, and according to his team - he is ready.

"We are trying to get him to use his body in ways he has not used as a basketball player," said one of his coaches.

Another said he refused Robinson's initial request, but was otherwise convinced: "After the first training I realized how serious he is. Most people do not come back after the first training, but he wants more, he wanted to continue. He has a heart."

On November 28 it was possible to see if this heart would suffice.

“It’s a big challenge to figure out how to breathe and fight when you’re tired,” Robinson said.

"That's the fun part. Like Mike Tyson says, 'Everyone has a plan until he gets punched in the mouth.' Then you have to figure out what to do. I never understood what he was talking about - until I entered the arena. People do not believe me, but it's okay. People also did not think I would get to the NBA. People did not think I would score 40 points in one game, or have an average of 18 points in the Knicks. No one thought I would win the ring competitions three times. I'm used to that - I'll be an underdog forever To people who did not believe in me. "

Although he is already 36, Robinson has not yet given up on the dream of returning to the NBA: "If it is possible, I will certainly want to. I would like to prove to the team that I can play, even at 36, still able to give a spark of energy off the bench. "Maybe I was retired, but I did not retire. I really think I can be effective, even if it's only for 5 or 10 minutes."
