Football: in Bobigny, the curfew is a real pain

2020-10-24T09:41:45.343Z

A weekly session deleted, advanced and shortened training ... The Seine-Saint-Denis club, which plays in National 2, is strong

Himed Hamma, the co-coach of Football Club 93 Bobigny-Gagny-Bagnolet with Abess Ousfane, himself, closed the Auguste-Delaune stadium on Thursday around 8:30 p.m. "I act as a goalkeeper, we have to adapt to this particular situation, ”he explains.

Several agents, who were in charge of the compound, have in fact contracted Covid-19.

The Auguste-Delaune stadium was therefore closed and will therefore be fully disinfected. There are also many infected people in the workforce: around ten cases.

Thursday, they were only 18 in training.

The match of the 9th day of group B of National 2 against Metz, scheduled for this Saturday, was then postponed.

Since the announcement of the curfew, the Seine-Saint-Denis club, 5th in its championship, had to change its habits.

It is one of the eight Ile-de-France teams of the 4th national level, the most impacted.

“One of the few that can't train during the day,” explains Himed Hamma.

In our workforce, 90% of the players have an activity next to football, they work or are students.

We only have 4 federal contracts.

This season, Bobigny was training at 8 pm.

Since the curfew, the club had to advance its sessions to 7 pm and shorten them with a scheduled end at 8:15 pm “During the first days, I tried to start at 6:30 pm but it was not possible, Hamma continues.

Some players couldn't make it at that time.

One of them, Ibrahim Koné, even told me he was going to stop.

But we arranged the hours so that the majority could be there for 7 p.m.

"

But now, the pre-session treatments (physiotherapist, osteopath) are over.

"We risk paying it later with injuries", worries the co-coach of Bobigny who must stop his training at "8:15 p.m. batteries".

“We have players who live far from Bobigny, in 91 or 77, it allows them to go home before the curfew.

“In this club which has 1,300 licensees for two fields, the obligation to advance the sessions of the first team also deprives some youth training of their time slots.

The Bobigny staff therefore decided to go from 4 to 3 weekly training sessions for the N2 team.

“I advocate stopping the amateur championships until January, that would be much fairer.

"

“As a former youth educator, very attached to training, it bothered me to deprive children of their training,” resumes Hamma.

But for us, this is not ideal because we have a very renewed workforce (17 departures in the offseason), we need to work collectively.

Faced with this situation, the latter also deplores a "lack of fairness" in relation to certain opponents.

“A lot of the teams in our group continue to train on their regular schedules or in the morning.

We deleted a session, we reduced them and we are missing players.

We will therefore not be on an equal footing with the others.

This is why I am advocating an end to the amateur championships until January, it would be much fairer.

"

Like other clubs, Bobigny also regrets the programming by the Federation of late matches on Wednesday evening.

He must also go to Haguenau, nearly 1,000 km round trips, in five days for a meeting at 8 pm.

"We have the feeling that the Federation wants to fit in matches at all costs, without worrying about the constraints for amateur clubs like us, regrets the leader.

We cannot leave the day before because our players are working.

They will therefore have to lay down for a day, return in the early hours of the morning and continue the next day with a day of work.

This is detrimental to the recovery level.

Once again, even if we are playing the same championship, it is the small clubs like us who drink the most.
