Britain's Lewis Hamilton took pole position in the Portuguese Formula 1 World Championship.
Reuters reported that Hamilton grabbed the lead in the first major prize in Portugal in 24 years, and his Finnish colleague Valtteri Bottas completed the Mercedes team's domination of the first row today.
Hamilton boosted his record by starting from the lead for the 97th time in his Formula 1 career, while Mercedes continued to dominate pole position for the 12th time in 12 races this season.
