This is a first in Ligue 1 since September.
The Lens-Nantes match, scheduled for Sunday (1 p.m.), is postponed because of 11 cases of Covid-19 on the Lensois side.
Unheard of since the League's medical protocol was put in place in September, implying the possibility of a postponement when fewer than 20 players on a list of 30 per team test negative.
The decision was taken "after the opinion of the National Covid Commission" of the French Football Federation (FFF).
Already on Friday, the Ligue 2 match between Grenoble and Nancy, initially scheduled for Saturday, had suffered the same fate due to the positive test of 13 players from Isère (as well as 5 members of the staff), becoming the first L2 match concerned by such a measurement since the validation of this protocol on September 4.
At the very start of the season at the end of August, the opening match of Ligue 1, Marseille-Saint-Etienne, had also been postponed under the old protocol in force, which made the postponement possible from four cases over rolling eight days in the occupational group.
The date of the rescheduling of the match has not yet been recorded.
